Apron Care Guide
100% Cotton Aprons (No Leather)
Aprons made entirely of cotton are the easiest to care for.
Washing

Machine washable.

You may use warm or hot water when needed.

Wash with similar colors.
Drying

Tumble drying is safe.

Remove the apron promptly at the end of the drying cycle.

Fold it immediately to help minimize wrinkles.
Remove Detachable Straps:
If your apron has removable straps (such as many cross-back apron models), we recommend removing them before washing.
Place the straps in a mesh laundry bag to prevent them from tangling around the washing machine or dryer mechanism. Their length can easily cause knots or unnecessary wear.
Aprons with Leather Straps or Leather Accents
Leather requires a little extra care to maintain its flexibility, appearance, and shape.
Washing

Machine wash in cold water only.

Use a gentle cycle whenever possible.

Wash with similar colors.
Drying

Avoid using the dryer whenever possible.

Hang the apron to air dry.
If the Fabric Is Wrinkled:
If the fabric needs a quick refresh, you may place the apron in the dryer for 2 to 5 minutes maximum. This creates a small amount of steam from the remaining moisture in the fabric, helping to release wrinkles.
IMPORTANT :

Remove the apron immediately after those few minutes.

Hang it up to finish drying naturally.

Never leave an apron with leather through a full dryer cycle.
Full Leather Aprons
Leather aprons require different care than fabric aprons.
Routine Cleaning
For everyday splashes or light stains, simply wipe the leather with a clean, damp cloth. In most cases, this is all that's needed to keep your apron looking its best.
Machine Washing
(Only When Necessary)
If the apron becomes heavily soiled and requires a full wash:

Machine wash in cold water only.

Remove the straps if they are detachable and place them in a mesh laundry bag.

Use a gentle cycle.
Drying

Never put a leather apron in the dryer.

Hang it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat or sunlight.
Why You Should Avoid the Dryer for Leather?

Heat dries out leather, which can:

Make it stiff.
-
Cause it to lose its shape.

Lead to cracking over time.
*If Your Leather Apron Was Accidentally Put in the Dryer*
If the leather feels dry after being placed in the dryer, apply a small amount of hand cream or, preferably, a leather conditioner to help restore moisture and reduce the risk of cracking.
Caring for Colors
To help preserve your apron's color:

Wash dark-colored fabrics in cold water.

Always wash with similar colors.

Denim fabrics tend to release excess dye during the first few washes. We recommend washing denim aprons separately or with other dark-colored items until the excess dye has been removed.
